Hello this is Britt from Optical Zonu.  Today we’re going to give a brief overview of the J3U and the N+1 redundancy option.  In the redundant system that we are showing today we are illustrating with this chassis, we are showing a two plus one redundancy architecture so there are two signal sources, there are two fiber transmitters number one and number two and there is a standby spare fiber transmitter.  Likewise for the receivers there is a receiver 1 and a receiver 2 and a standby spare receiver.  So, to show how this works by example I will just disconnect or force a failure for transmitter number one so the led’s now indicate that this transmitter is being bypassed and traffic is being routed through and over the optics of the spare transmitter if I re-engage the transmitter number one, these errors clear and once again the standby spare is not passing traffic in a similar way receiver one.  Or, for example receiver two may be disengaged so alarms indicate that receiver two is disengaged and now traffic is being passed over the standby spare receiver, if I re-engage receiver number two the error is clear and the spare receiver is returned to a standby mode.
