Description
The ZonuSkyShot GPS Tester is a compact, handheld GPS receiver which detects the presence and, the signal strength of a GPS signal, and identifies all the satellite visible to the Antenna, and the transport system beyond. The device enables laptop or phone connectivity to report and indicate the systems performance and giving direct output to the screen. Ensuring quicker time to installation, and certified results for integration, and closeout packages. The ZonuSkyShot GPS Tester is a compact GPS receiver which detects the presence and, the signal strength of a GPS signal, and identify all the satellite “seen” carried by the signal. The device enables laptop or phone connectivity to report and indicate this at the LED device’s screen.
Furthermore this GPS receiver can be accessed at the USB port on the Base Unit, or via a bluetooth device allowing the user to see the available satellites using the app provided with
the system and available at the Optical Zonu website. The receiver can simultaneously track up to 16 satellites while searching for new ones. An example is shown in the following page.
This feature permits verifying the OZC Fiber at the Edge connection independent of any other equipment. Simply connect the ZonuSkyShot to any RF output of an Optical Zonu GPS Fiber
Transport, GPS at the Edge or GPS Over Fiber with the short SMA RF jumper. The unit can be plugged into AC power with the AC adaptor included. If the GPS signal is being received, the
GPS LED will blink red.
For more detail, a laptop can be connected to the unit via the micro USB port, or using our “New” Bluetooth feature and an easily downloaded App With the downloaded software, the
constellation and received signal levels for all visible GPS satellites are shown. The ZonuSkyShot has an internal battery which is recharged with a AC adaptor, included. There is an On/Off switch to save battery power. Sufficient battery charge is indicated by a red PWR LED. In summary all the OZC GPS at the edge solution provide the most comprehensive monitoring and alarming functionality available with minimum complexity.
