Executive Summary:

As The Broward County Convention Center expanded 350,000 sq. ft of contiguous exhibit apace, the project requires to expand the public safety coverage for new expansion space.

The Challenge:

• Only available RF source is from donor antennas,
• Long distance between donor antenna and public safety DAS Headend. Coaxial cable connection is not suitable due to lousy transmission loss

Optical Zonu Solution:

This was accomplished easily using Optical Zonu’s PS700/800 RF Over Fiber Antenna Extender Solution. The compact, IP67 rated enclosure link provides a cross-connect for each of the needed public safety wireless coverage for new expanded space.

PS antenna extender solution delivered +15dBm downlink RF power to BDA(Bi-Direction Amplifier) as expected
