Sales Engineer – Eastern Region

 

Optical Zonu Corp. is seeking a Sales Engineer-US Eastern Region for its growing and rapidly evolving Mobile Wireless RF Fiber Transport product lines. The position is remote from the corporate office. The candidate should be based in the Eastern time zone with access to a major airport.

The Ideal Candidate

You are self-motivated, driven and out-of-the-box thinker.  You will drive sales and provide support for applications including Distributed Antenna Systems, Small Cell, Public Safety Wireless, and government systems. Current sales are focused on the US market, but you will also help define global sales growth targets and execution. This is key position for Optical Zonu and you will have the exciting responsibility for supporting sales growth for the current product lines and helping drive the direction of the company.

 

Responsibilities

  • Prospecting and supporting customers in the US cellular market
  • Provide regular product training and support to US carriers’ market DAS engineers as well as engineering services companies supporting US carriers’ DAS designs & deployments
  • Provide recommended system designs and bid support
  • Provide on-site support for system installation and commissioning
  • Post sales support and ongoing account management

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • 5+ years of sales or customer support experience
  • Experience with DAS (distributed antenna systems) design and deployment
  • Experience in RF analog fiberoptics / telecommunications
  • Public Safety Wireless network design experience a plus
  • Familiarity with US carriers – experience with market engineers and engineering services companies
  • Excellent communicator with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • IBWave Design experience a plus
  • Willingness to travel – approximately 50%
  • Proficient in MS Word/Excel/Outlook/Powerpoint
  • Can generate professional-grade proposals and presentations
