Optical Zonu Aerospace & Defense (A&D) Sales

Optical Zonu Corporation (OZC) has been in business for over 20 years as a leader in the RF over Fiber Optics industry.  We produce a wide range of digital and analog RF-Over-Fiber products that are widely used by A&D already and we are looking to expand our reach.

Due to rapid growth and the closing of one of our competitors, we are hiring a talented salesperson to join our RFoF Satcom sales team and expand our reach to new customers. We offer a very competitive base salary plus substantial commissions.  If you are motivated, looking for excellent earning potential and a place to start or grow your career, we would like to hear from you.  Some RF or electrical experience expected, if you have experience in RFoF, GPS, Cellular or Wireless technologies that is a plus.

Job brief

We are looking for a hardworking, smart and overachieving A&D Sales Representative with a passion for selling technology solutions.  You will be responsible for sourcing and cultivating new prospects to ensure a high closing and renewal rate while delivering peak levels of customer satisfaction.

Main Responsibilities and Requirements

  • Develop and implement solution based selling strategies
  • Proactively approach new potential customers to engage in emerging programs and establish long term relationships
  • Create and deliver powerful presentations that clearly communicate the uniqueness and the value of OZC systems, sub-systems and modules
  • Excellent organizational skills and a keen eye for detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Computer and Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a high-stress sales environment and multitask
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time

Sales Representative Hours:

  • Monday – Friday 8AM – 5PM (40-hour work week)
  • Extended hours may be required from time to time due to travel, deadlines or rush projects

Language Skills

  • Ability to read, write and speak English clearly and proficiently.

 Physical Demands

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
  • The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel.
  • Fine hand manipulation (keyboarding).
  • Specific vision requirements include the ability to see at close range.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

Work Environment

 Compensation:

  • Base salary range $60 – $80,000 per year dependent on experience
  • Plus, a Significant Commission Plan
  • Total first year compensation potential $80,000 to $100,000 +

Optical Zonu Wireless Carrier Sales Specialist

We are hiring a talented Sales Representative to join our team. Founded in 2003, Optical Zonu Corporation (OZC) manufactures a wide range of digital and analog RF-Over-Fiber products. The company is privately owned and serves both commercial and government applications.  We are continuously innovating and developing solutions for wired and wireless networks, satellite and telemetry/tracking earth stations, broadcast and Public Safety networks.

Job brief

We are looking for a hardworking and overachieving Sales Representative with a passion for selling technology solutions.  You will be responsible for sourcing and cultivating new prospects with a focus on AT&T technical sales along with potential commercial, government and military customers.

Responsibilities and Requirements

  • Knowledge of RFoF, Wireless, Cellular and GPS solutions a plus, but not required
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience
  • Develop and implement solution based selling strategies
  • Successfully match customer needs/requirements to proposed solutions
  • Create and deliver powerful presentations and demos that clearly communicate the uniqueness of the value of OZC systems and module solutions
  • Collect and document competitive intelligence
  • Model the financial business case associated with each sales opportunity and develop quotes
  • Computer and Microsoft Office proficiency
  • The ability to accurately enter data and generate reports
  • Excellent organizational skills and a keen eye for detail
  • Negotiation and social problem-solving skills
  • Effectively communicate client needs to the R&D teams for future product enhancements
  • Ability to travel

  • Total year one expected compensation $120,000 – $140,000 yr+
