Rocket Mortgage Arena

Rocket Mortgage Arena Home / Modules / Small Modules / OZ200 Overview: Rocket Financial Fieldhouse Cleveland Ohio – AT&T project using a Zonu Connect system to take signal from the AT&T Headend at 1030 River Drive to the Rocket Financial Fieldhouse telecom room. AT&T has 13 sectors of WCS frequency specific transport necessary for improved service in the arena. Our ZonuConnect system was the perfect solution for a congested arterial system between the facilities. Challenges: Access issues due to Covid (State mandated shutdown) Ability to get the entire team on site for access, and installation Timeline was short for installation, and commissioning Solution Used: The ZonuConnect system is relatively “plug and play” installation and commissioning were done in a very timely fashion. Performance was established and confirmed within a few hours. Performance was confirmed and exceeded the expectations of the installation team, and ultimately the end user AT&T. GPS Timing Solution at LAX

GPS Timing Solution at LAX Home / Modules / Small Modules / OZ200 Overview: Los Angeles International Airport is currently undergoing an extensive upgrade. The upgrades include all new cellular wireless coverage for Bradley International, the new Midfield Satellite Concourse, all eight terminals, the new people mover and all outside areas and parking structures. The Bradley International Terminal was the first to be upgraded. The cluster of Ericsson DOT radios at each coverage location are all connected to a centralized baseband unit location in the terminal. This location also includes the BBUs for the Sprint (now T-Mobile) DRAN system. Read Los Angels Times article here https://www.latimes.com/business/story/2021-05-24/lax-new-west-gate-terminal LAX unveils expansion: More gates, new checked-bag system.  The new facility at Los Angeles International Airport is named West Gates and billed as an extension of the Tom Bradley International Terminal. Challenges: • Requires a low profile, easily routed GPS connection for up to 64 baseband units.• Requires auto-redundancy for reliability.• The solution must be approved by all the US mobile wireless carriers.• Must require a minimum of rack space and cable conduit space. Solution: Bradley Terminal was the first project to be completed. The GPS reference for network sync for all the BBUs at

US Bank Stadium – GPS Over Fiber Solution

US Bank Stadium – GPS Over Fiber Solution Home / Modules / Small Modules / OZ200 Overview: U.S. Bank Stadium is the location for an Optical Zonu GPS over Fiber Solution! It takes critical efficiency and timing to create a great play; and it takes great timing to ensure communications in the stadium on game day! One of our client partners has installed and implemented a CBRS, Private LTE network for the NFL with our GPS over Fiber solution for it’s foundation. A great opportunity brought to us by a great client partner. “In real life the OFF (Optical Fault Finder) is a standard SFP transceiver for data communication. Ok, a quite special one, since working on ONE fiber using ONE single wavelength, but we also could use it in our tester as a standard transceiver with DDM support….” – Ralf-Dieter Heil, International Sales Manager, Argus(intec Gesellschaft für Informationstechnik mbH) Challenges: Access issues due to Covid (State mandated shutdown) Time to market as Covid restrictions lifted Timeline was short for installation, and commissioning Solution: The Optical Zonu GPS over fiber transport solution is easy to install and very quick to synchronization. It’s performance was established and confirmed within a few

Non-Radiating RF Transport in an Anechoic Chamber

Non-Radiating RF Transport in an Anechoic Chamber Home / Modules / Small Modules / OZ200 Figure – Simple Anechoic Chamber Overview: An anechoic chamber is a room designed to completely absorb reflections of electromagnetic waves. Ideally anechoic chambers are also isolated from electromagnetic radiation that is outside of the chamber. Anechoic chambers are used to (among other things) test the radiation patterns of antennae and radar. Ideally, only the device under test should affect EM radiation patterns within the chamber. The test equipment, whether it is emitting or receiving radiation, should essentially be invisible within the testing environment. Challenges: Transmitting and receiving antennas must have a certain shape and occupy a fixed amount ofspace. This limitation cannot easily be overcome. RF (electromagnetic) signals must enter and exit the chamber without affectingelectromagnetic fields within the chamber. Cabling to antennas will be arranged in arbitrary ways to place antennas as required fortest. RF signal transport cabling mustnot produce EM fields or be susceptible to them Solution: Unlike copper cabling which radiates and is susceptible to electromagnetic radiation, the EM fields within the core of fiber cable are confined to the core of the fiber due to the difference in the index of
