Product Description
The OZ9800 series is populated using OZ600, OZ81x, or OZ16xx (up to 5) linear optical stand-alone modules in , a 1U 19” rack mount chassis. The modules can carry RS232 in addition to the broadband RF signal (on the same fiber). Each module has an individual DB-9 connector on the back panel that provide monitoring and alarms in addition to the optional RS232 signals. Links can be single fiber with built-in WDM. This custom-built product is capable of carrying up to 5 modules – each of which can be transceivers (TxRx) or only a Transmitter (Dual or single) or Receiver (Dual or single). Standard operational frequency ranges between 30 MHz and 3 GHz but it can be extended to range from 10 KHz to 6 GHz for both Cooled DFB or standard lasers. The system can be configured with any combination of OZ600 or OZ81x or OZ16xx type modules.
Any combination of the following signal formats is available – 3/6/10 GHz RF, 10 – 200 MHz low phase noise reference, GNSS/GPS. Options are available for extending the low frequency RF roll-off down to 10 kHz.
RF modules are optimized for linear signal transport with high spurious-free dynamic range (SFDR). The standard RF interface is 50Ω SMA(f). Signals may be transported on dedicated fibers (up to 10). In environments with limited fiber, bidirectional RF traffic may be transported on a single fiber.
Modules within the OZ9800 chassis may be monitored via their DSUB9 connectors. The OZ9800 chassis is powered by dual AC or –48 VDC (optional) power supplies. A +12 VDC is also available. For multimode fiber transport options, please contact Optical Zonu.
