Product Description
The J-Chassis is a modular EIA 310-D Standard 19” 1RU chassis that accommodates 5 pluggable, hot swappable fiber optic RF signal transport modules, managed switches, and/or power supplies on the front of the chassis. The 5-slot chassis is ~ 8” deep. A 10-slot version of the chassis (~ 16” deep) accommodates an additional 5 slots on the back of the chassis.
RF over fiber transport modules may be configured to transport from 10 kHz to 50 GHz. Modules may be configured as single and dual fiber transmitters, single and dual fiber receivers, and transceivers (transmitter + receiver). Modules are also available for transporting low phase noise references, GPS, TTL, 1PPS, and IRIG-B.
Modules within the J-Chassis may be monitored and controlled in a number of ways. Locally, LEDs on the modules provide health and status. There are multiple ways to monitor and control modules remotely when using the JS14 managed switch module within a connected chassis. Administrators may access modules via a serial or SSH CLI (command line interface) connection, an HTTP web user interface, and an embedded (within the JS14 managed switch) Managed RFoF graphical user interface. The JS14 module also supports SNMP v2 and v3. The JS14 (or S11) managed switch may be connected to the J-Chassis directly or through a USB hub.
Multiple redundant AC and DC power supply options are available. The chassis supports two fan units to maintain a stable operating temperature within the chassis.
