Description

The Optical Zonu Fiber Pigtailed EDFA is designed for use in fiber optic communication systems within core, access, and CATV networks. The unit provides stable optical output power across a wide operating temperature range while maintaining low power consumption.

Integrated input and output isolators ensure system stability and optimal optical performance. The internal microprocessor-based control circuitry includes photodiodes and tap couplers for continuous monitoring and regulation of optical output power.

Output power and operational modes, including Automatic Power Control (APC), are  configured via the user interface. The selectable output power function eliminates the need for external attenuators, allowing direct adjustment of the input range for subsequent system stages.

The Fiber Pigtailed EDFA is designed for ease of integration and operation. Multiple configuration options are available to accommodate diverse application requirements and system designs.

The EDFA is offered in two form factors, flange mount module and PCB stacked subassembly (to aid with heat sinking).
