Description
The Optical Zonu TTL Series of OEM fiber optic transmitter and receiver modules facilitate the transport of timing (and other) signals that are not modulated onto RF carriers, over long distances of fiber. The most basic application is the fiber optic conversion and transport of (on board) TTL signals. The TTL Series also facilitates the transport of precise timing signals such as IRIG-B (unmodulated) and 1PPS.
The RF interface on the TTL modules is 50Ω SMA (standard) or 50Ω SMB. Optical connector options include SC/APC (standard) and FC/APC fiber pigtails. TTL fiber transmitters are available in all CWDM wavelengths (1270 – 1610 nm). TTL signals may be multiplexed together, or with RF signals, for transport over a single fiber. A built-in RFI shield supports low EM/RF interference and susceptibility. Transport over single mode fiber is standard, however the Optical Zonu TTL fiber links support transport over multimode fiber as well. Contact Optical Zonu.
Duty cycle distortion (DCD) is primarily driven by the optical loss budget between fiber transmitter and receiver. In order to minimize DCD, Optical Zonu TTL optical receiver modules are offered in short, medium, and long reach versions.
The TTL transmitter features an optically isolated DFB laser diode operating at 1310 nm (standard), 1550 nm (standard), or CWDM wavelengths. The TTL fiber optic receiver features a high performance InGaAs photodiode. Alarm and monitoring functions are available through a 10 pin connector. Contact Optical Zonu for all of the available options.
